by Ng Si Ying (b. 1993) began as a quiet curiosity—an urge to better understand a material long cherished in Southeast Asia: rattan. What emerged is an ongoing conversation between material, object, and humanity, exploring how rattan continues to shape and be shaped by the world we live in today.
